Leonie Wahl was born in Switzerland in 1977 and lives and works as a dancer and choreographer in Vienna. She grew up in
Italy and started dancing at the age of 5. After studying dance at the Heidelberg-Mannheim University of Applied
Sciences and the Rotterdamse Dansacademie, she was a formative member of the Gervasi Dance Company from 2001 to 2015,
where she performed in all productions and was invited to various international festivals. As a dancer, she took part in
numerous other productions (Leine & Roebana, Milli Bitterli, etc.). In 2012 she founded her own company orgAnic reVolt.
Pieces were created such as: Within Waste, Void, It can Be Anything, AnotherR. Together with the bernhard.ensemble she
developed several highly acclaimed "Tanz.Schau.Spiel" productions at the interface of dance, physical theatre and spoken
theatre, such as This is what happened in the telephone Booth, Reenacting Jakob Levy Moreno, Der.Semmelweis.Reflex.
Leonie has been working with DANS.KIAS since the group piece Corps à corps.
