Reto Schubiger was a lighting technician at the Chur City Theatre from 1981 to 1985 and since 1985 he has been working as a lighting designer and lighting technician in the independent scene in Vienna. In the area of dance, lighting concepts alongside DANS.KIAS for José Navas, David Zambrano, abc-dancecompany, Holy Body Tatoo, Bilderwerfer, Bernd Bienert, Akemi Takeya, Willi Dorner, Sebastian Prantl, Paul Wenninger, Vienna Conservatory, Propeller, Sybille Starkbaum, Rose Breuss , Anita Kaya. For theater, Reto Schubiger designs for theatermbH, Jura Soyfer Theater, Die Showinisten, Tiroler Landestheater, Carousell-Theater Berlin, cache-cache, Justus Neumann, Vienna Conservatory, Ruben Fraga, Kurt Palm, Austrian Theater, among others. Reto Schubiger also worked as a lighting designer for the Vienna Art Orchestra from 1992 to 2001.
